Event Description

Lightyear Wireless Founder, CEO and Channel Executive of the Year, Sherm Henderson is the featured speaker of the Indianapolis Development Center Open House.

J. Sherman Henderson or Sherm, as he is known to most everyone in the telecom industry, is aptly described by those who know and work with him as “persuasive,” “the consummate salesman,” “a cheerleader.” He has used those attributes over the past 35-plus years to build two telecom companies and to lead the competitive telecom industry’s associations through the best and worst of times. Sherm has served as Chairman of the Board for Comptel, the industries remaining competitive association, for six years. In 2009 Sherm was elected Channel Executive of the year, beating out executives from Level3 and Quest. Sherm has also been recognized for orchestrating wholesale agreements with two of the three largest wireless carriers in the nation. Attendees will come away with an industry insight that is unparallel. The world is moving to a wireless society. Today there are more mobile phones in the world than TVs, PCs, and cars combined. Wireless will be the fifth one trillion dollar industry in the world, ranking with auto, military, tourism and food industries. Discover the future of wireless and how this industry will weather the rough economy.

Sherm Henderson, President / CEO of Lightyear Network Solutions will recognize Steve Bono for the achievement of promoting to Presidential Director.

Lightyear Wireless, the fifth wireless cell phone company in the nation will host an open house event in Indianapolis. The Lightyear Team will process representative applications on site.
