Event Description

CarmelFest Stars & Stripes Forever: 4th of July Celebration

Mark the date for the annual CarmelFest Celebration on July 3rd & 4th. This event, sponsored by the Carmel Rotary Club, continues its 30 year tradition as one of the biggest Independence Day Festivals in Indiana with an expected attendance of over 50,000. CarmelFest is a family oriented festival focused on Patriotism and Community Spirit. This year’s theme is “Stars and Stripes Together”.

According to CarmelFest Chairperson, Gary Frey, “This year’s Celebration will be bigger and better than ever offering fun and entertainment for the entire community.”

Some of the key Events planned for the 2009 celebration include: a two-day Festival at the Carmel Civic Square, the fabulous “St Vincent Heart Center 4th of July Parade”, and the spectacular “B105.7 Fireworks at CarmelFest launched by Firestone”. The two-day Outdoor Festival will offer Entertainment and Live Music on three stages, a Civil War Re-Enactors Campground, Children’s Games in the Kid Zone, Arts/Crafts booths, Festival Food vendors…and much more. One of the new additions to this year’s Entertainment program is “CarmelFest Has Talent” - with vocal soloists competing at the Gazebo Main Stage.

Event Admission and Parking are Free. The Outdoor Festival hours are July 3rd 12:00 – 10:00 pm and July 4th 12-10:30 p.m.

For information on the Entertainment Schedule, the Parade, vendor and volunteer registration, visit the CarmelFest web site: www.carmelfest.net
