Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Graphic look at how US electronics waste is being dumped on developing nations...and how well-intentioned citizens unwittingly contribute to the problem. If you recycle -- ASK questions, "How do you process?" "Do you do it yourself or use downstream vendors?" "Where are your TV's going (especially dangerous component in the e-waste stream) "Can I see?"
Follow up, do your research -- it is the fastest and most effective way to put an end to this practice.
This is a must see for anyone interested in the environment -- 12 minutes and completely worth the 15 second commericial viewing at front

I saw this when it aired on 60 minutes. Very disturbing. I guess Best Buy just launched a recycling service - whether or not you make a purchase from them. Small fee. How does your company develop customers and awareness?

Wow. That is a powerful piece. I have 4 old televisions in my house now that dont work. Where/how do I dispose of them properly?

Horrendous. My company deals with recyclers that specify that they will not ship to China, but you just don't know what happens once you have turned these products over to them.
