Hi, John - its nice to see our neighborhood well represented on SI. I'll be interested to hear what a professional writer thinks of this medium. I write quite a lot in my line of work and am finding the learning curve curved more than I thought it would. I'm getting more comfortable but it took a couple of weeks. Happy to find you here!
Hi John, something to possibly consider down the road: Pearson continues to evolve their Safari joint venture product with O'Reilly and we here at Wiley are doing all sorts of interesting things building books via wikis and blogs. The book publishing market is going through a transition and readers might find it fascinating to see how we're moving from the old way of building content to newer models that utilize social media, for example. Just my two cents, but obviously I'm quite biased! ;-)
Hi John. I enjoy your columns and appearances on channel 13. I hope you'll find a reason to do a story on the various book publishing operations here in Indy. There's a lot of great stuff going on at Wiley (where I work) and Pearson, not to mention all the online activities that everyone is experimenting with.
