Hello Kyle and thank you so much for the nice welcome comment! I've been having some problems getting the Ning ID to work on my computer or I'd be exploring this cool site more often. Hopefully it's all fixed and I can become a regular Smoosier myself. :)
Our move here is just becomming official and finished. I've always enjoyed my visits to IN in the past, so I hope to become a looong term resident. I enjoy working with a local public library helping to organize, fund raise, garden, plus art and reading programs for children. I have been a Girl Scout Troup leader in the past as well, so I hope to be able to use some of those skills with the fine folks of my new home state. Oh, and #1 in my book... we ALWAYS pick up after our dogs! It makes for a nicer and healthier place for everyone to live. :)

Thanks Kyle for the nice welcome. I have lived in Indiana for 33 years and came from Michigan. Interesting questions regarding what I would do to make Indiana a better place! I do love Indiana - it's where I met my wife and raised my children. How to make Indiana a better place? Well, since I have a degree in Urban Forestry - I would like to see all of the trees shaped up and in good health and more planting of trees. It's good for the environment and aesthetics of our State. I actually named my company Angel Oak because of a tree that is over 1000 years old and is located in South Carolina. In a nutshell, trees are good! Thanks again for the warm welcome and to all who have welcomed me!

SMOOSIER! Interesting. Thank you, Kyle for the welcome. Having lived on both coast & places in-between. I am enjoying this very midwest living experience.

Kyle,
I appreciate the welcome.
Indiana provides "Hoosier Hospitality" along with the all the options found in larger areas. I can enjoy many different activities without the hassles (like traffic and expensive cost of living) associated with other areas. It's a great place to live and raise a family.

Kyle,
Thank you for the warm welcome!
I recently relocated here to accept a job transfer with a great company who unfortunately "fell under" thanks to this storm over our economy. But - still firmly believe as with any storm it will pass. A friend nugged me in this direction to begin networking and using an active social pool rather then "Dead" resources in allready saturated pools like Monster, Hot Jobs and so on.

I'm finding the site already to be extremely useful and easy to communicate with business owners and others in the same situation as m,y own.

Thank you for taking the time to just say "Hey"

What I love about Indiana: wide open roads to ride my motorcycle! :-) I love taking pictures of rural Indiana. There's a simple beauty about where I live that I really enjoy. I also think people of Indiana are some of the friendliest, most down-to-earth folks I've ever met. I've lived in other places, and I think we're in Indiana for keeps!

Thanks. In honor of St. Patrick's Day and 70-degree weather, my biz partner and I will be hitting the golf course in late afternoon. Wasn't golf invented somewhere in the Irish - or maybe it was the British - Isles? After a colllllld winter, I'm thankful for a touch of springtime.

That's funny Kyle because before I even knew who you were, I saw you at Paradise Bakery in Castleton. It truly is a Small Indiana.

Thanks for the welcome! My favorite thing about Indiana is that most things that happen in the world somehow connect back to Indiana or Indianapolis! We are the crossroads of America!

Hi Kyle - thanks for the note. I'm excited to be a part of the community. I can't tell you everything I love about Indiana in one post, but will give you a few...the people and the ease with which they connect to one another, the Colts, Cafe Patachou, the Circle, Downtown, the Monon and Meridian Kessler ( can you tell I'm an Indianapolis girl?). Take care!

Thanks for the welcome, Kyle. I've been a Hoosier all my life (so far) - born and raised in South Bend, now in Fort Wayne. It's a good part of the country and a great place to raise a family!

Thanks Kyle,
My life has me pretty overwhelmed, so I am sure to be slow getting involved. Dan Henkel put me on to you all--don't know if you know Dan, but sometimes it seems like everyone does.

I love hoosier hospitality - people are very friendly, and even live and let live.
