Was It You?
Alright, show of hands, be honest: Who missed out on $25 oil changes last week because they were NOT following us on Twitter and so they didn't get the extra special Twitter Club discount? Hang on, keep 'em up, I'm still counting. That's what I thought, just about all of you. C'mon gang, check us out on twitter, follow us, and you'll get better prices than the guy down the hall who keeps stealing your Capri Sun from your lunch in the breakroom fridge because he's a dweeb and didn't get the discount that you got because you were so cool. Want braggin' rights? Earn 'em! All ya gotta do is follow along.... http://twitter.com/MyCarDoc

GenCon
Dude, GenCon Indy was an amazing experience! We didn't go until Sunday so that we could get the family rate and honestly, I expected it to be a lot of video games mostly. I was surprised at how many board games, game accessories, and really cool, unusual games there were. I saw at least ten different kinds of zombie games (the funniest being Zombie Mosh Pit where a group of friends become zombies and decide to spend their last night semi-human in a mosh pit at a concert. The last one to be moshing and still have limbs intact is the winner, lol!). However, I have to say, the best part of the convention was the large number of artists there. Showcasing incredible talents that I could only dream of; nearly all were published, professional artists with original pieces to sell and would personally autograph their work for you. My wife loves the two pieces I brought home for her.

But enough about my weekend, how was yours?

WATER BALLOONS!
Speaking of weekends, how many of you are attending the Indy Water Balloon fight at Holland Park this coming Saturday? Your kids will LOVE you for this!

Okay, okay, down to business.

Trivia: The Car That Was Never Named
Only 602 Z-28 Camaros were built in 1967, their first year. The funny thing is that the Z-28 name wasn't even supposed to be the name of the car (one designer wanted to call it the Cheetah)! They wanted to call it the 302 Special Performance (because the engine was specially built for this car and it was the displacement was 302, but I don't wanna get too geeky on ya). However, Chevy had already assigned the "Special Performance" name to the SS cars like the Impala SS. The code for that was performance option was Z-27, so the 302 engine was coded the Z-28. However, they never assigned a formal name to that code. Chevy was already starting to manufacture the cars when they finally decided to just call it by it's code name, Z-28.
So there ya have it, the Z-28 Camaro was the car that was never named, just called by it's designers' code.

In the "Things That Make Ya Go Hmmmmm" Category:
The 1975 Ford Mustang II had a fuel economy of 30 mpg automatic and 34 for a stickshift.
The 2010 Ford Mustang has a fuel efficiency of 16-26 mpg.*

Now ask yourself if getting rid of that old clunker really makes sense. Hmmmmmm.....
