Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Erik Deckers. You are a hard act to follow, but here it goes...

One. My name is Lisa Ralph, and I'm a Late Bloomer. I grew up around Evansville, and I had no idea who I was or what I wanted until I was about 35 years old. In high school I thought I wanted to be a legal secretary. I was shy and quiet until I was 26 years old. I didn't graduate from college until I was 30. I was somewhat of a train wreck. I'm making up for lost time now. I'm grateful that I came out of my shell and have a clear sense of purpose and direction.

Two. I love, love, love music. Electronica, Dance, Jazz, Classical, Rock and Alternative are my favorites. Discovering and listening to new music is very therapeutic. On New Year's Eve I attended the New York Philharmonic and was in heaven.

Three. Thrift shopping is another means of therapy. When I'm having a rough, crazy day, I can be found at a Goodwill digging for albums, art, dishes, books, handbags, and for any other exciting treasures. Oh, and garage sales, too. I wish it would warm up already. I'm getting garage sale fever!

Four. I am passionate about community service. I have been an active volunteer for 14 years. I especially enjoy working with women's and children's issues. I have been active with the Junior League, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Girls Inc. I am currently on the Board of Directors for Young Audiences of Indiana.

Five. I love a great dining experience. It doesn't matter if it's in or out. I enjoy cooking and creating an ambience and like discovering new places that offer great food, wine and ambience.

Six. I am a runner. Currently I am training for a half marathon that I will run next month in Austin, TX.

Seven. I am in a relationship with Ron Talbot, a wonderful man that I'm grateful to have met. He inspires me in so many ways. He is supportive and believes in me and my desire to make a major difference in the lives of many. He's also a pretty good running coach.

Rules are below. Enjoy!

Now my turn to continue:
