Making people and ideas findable

Here are 7 random things about me that you probably never would want to know but someboday has asked me already. I thought I ought to share. Once you read you are supposed to complete the randomness yourself and tag another lucky 7 people.

1. My youngest brother is nine and a half years older than me. I know I wasn't planned but that's okay, the best things come last! Andy was the brother I pretty much grew up with. I have two other siblings; another brother, Kurt, and a sister, Kris. Living with Andy was hell because by the time he was in high school we never had good food to snack on after school. He always ate it all. He probably had an aversion to me for a long time because I took the spotlight off him. We are good friends now that we have both grown up a lot so no worries!

2. I have a rare chromosone disorder. I have Triple X Syndrome. That means that I have three X chromosomes instead of the standard two. I am super girl! When the doctors found out about the syndrome, I was still in my momma's womb. The doctors tried to convince my parents to let them do research analyses on me throughout my life. Thank God my parents loved me more than anything and they told them "NO!".

3. I consider myself to be in a state of a mid-mid-life crisis. Yes, I spelled it right and No, you aren't seeing fuzzy. I am at a crossroads in my adult life where I am trying to decide exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life in a career. I went to college for graphic design and I am so elated at how much I learned about computers, design, layout and color. Art was always my hobby even when I was little. Now I have lost the enthusiasm for my hobby. It's not fun anymore. I have debated between becoming a writer of fictional stories and a book reviewer. I read plenty of books a month so that wouldn't be a problem.

4. I met the love of my life when I was sixteen. He was twenty one at the time. I had a car load of girlfriends with me and he was in the frontseat with some of his friends. We met at a stoplight and flagged them down to come and talk to us. We didn't last long the first time around. I was still in high school and he just turned twenty one. I can't say I blame him. The fire he put in my heart never died though and three years later we got back together. We had rough spots to overcome like learning to trust each other again. Five years later is coming up fast and although it's been one hell of a ride it has been worth every minute of it. He proposed to me on Christmas Eve 2008 and we are planning a wedding for June 2010.

5. I have been a smoker for seven years and I am finally trying my hardest to quit. I have never tried as hard as I am right now. I started this past Monday and I am down to no more than five a day. Five! It's a LOT better than twenty a day. Progress is progress. I am hoping that in the next month I can drop it all together. On Monday I throroughly cleaned my car by sweeping, febreezing and freshening the air vents with Glade Air Freshener. No more smoking in my car! And I have held to it for the last four days. Another pat on my back. I have found that listening to classical music to and from work works wonders on my moods. Specifically Clair de Lune by Debussy with sounds of the meadow added to it. It's definitely a relaxing drive home just like a cigarette would do, but its much healthier. Let me know if you hear of any warnings about classical music being bad for my health.

6. My biggest goal right now is to find a new job. As you are aware of my mid-mid-life crisis I am open to anything. I want to make at least 25K a year and have some benefits. At least paid days off, paid holidays or a paid vacation. Health, Dental and/or Vision Insurance would be nice too. I have worked at my current job for four years and I don't get any of those things. I know I am worthy of more than what I have now. I am anxious to find something new, exciting and different. I need a change of pace.

7. I am a Sagicorn. I was born right on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn. On the Sagittarius side of my personality I enjoy spontaneity, my freedom to do as I please (and typically I will whether you agree with it or not) and I am charismatic. I consider it my duty to make you laugh or at least smile one time a day. I also get my sarcasm from Sagittarius. On the Capricorn side I get my drive for intelligence and my thirst for more knowledge. I get my sense of travel and my wit. The wit usually flows well with my sarcarsm. If I am angry they work together vehemently. Because of these two signs, I consider myself a happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow, down-to-earth, put-a-smile-on-my-face-and-bear-it type of woman. I take life as it comes because I can't do anything else. I put a smile with it because I know that as soon as that problem is gone, another is right around the corner.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!

I'm intrigued about the Triple X chromosome. That sounds pretty cool. Does that do anything for you, like super powers?

Also, I was tagged by Kristie Bradford, so I'm out. Cissi Sherlock would be a good tagee though.
