IT Indy Peer Group meeting tonight! (Jan 15th)
The IT Indy Peer Group is meeting at the Fox and Hound Grille, 4901 E. 82nd Street from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST tonight!
itipg stands for Information Technology Indy Peer Group. Our charter group consists of a handful of IT Managers and Senior IT Staff of some local small/medium businesses. We are wholly independent of any company or vendor group - though we welcome support from wherever we can find it.
We believe that peer networking and mentoring has more of an impact on careers and lives than any other IT practice. After researching the Indianapolis area, we were unable to find any organizations that focus on the management level of IT and strategy: several excellent groups exist for specific technologies or concepts, but we could not find any group dedicated to building this community we envision. As such, we decided to create this group.
I attended last months meeting and caught a great demonstration of VMWare from Pat O'Day of BlueLock. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend tonight, but wanted to share the info for anyone interested.
