Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

As you could probably tell from the all the posts following BlogIN, the event was a huge success. I know it was a fabulous experience for me. I learned a lot, made some great connections, and as I left I was thinking I couldn't wait for the next one. Then it dawned on me, why wait? Why not create a blogging group here to bring together our local blogging community? So, that's what I did. There is now a new group called the Bloggers Forum.

My hope is that the group will attract our blogging community to share their experiences and their knowledge. Whether your a new blogger, a seasoned veteran, or you're interested in getting started, I hope you'll find this to be a useful group. Let's learn from and encourage each other. I won't claim to be an experienced blogger but I am a fabulous organizer and see tremendous potential if we can get this going.

One of the sessions I attended at BlogIN was "Connecting with Local Bloggers". While everyone there saw great benefits in compiling such a list, there didn't seem to be an easy way to do so. Well, this is someting we can do. Join the group and provide a link to you blog. This can provide us with a great opportunity to connect and to support each other.

Let's keep the momentum from BlogIN going! What do you think?

One recommendation I have is to add your blog to the Indianapolis Bloggers Ring! I have links to the ring on my blog and on I Choose Indy!

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
