Making people and ideas findable

I found out on Twitter that today is World Comment Day. Today everyone is supposed to comment on at least three blogs. Well, I did it with 2 hours to spare! I have to admit that this was something new for me. On thinking about it, I don't think I'm alone in this. I often wish more people would leave comments on my blogs. But how can I expect others to do something I don't do myself?

So I'm making a commitment. When I read someone's blog, from now on I'll leave a comment. Even if it's just to say that I enjoyed reading it. How many of us wonder whether anyone is reading what we write? If nothing else, we can provide some verification that someone out there actually read the post.

Interesting, I didn't catch that yesterday (I must follow the wrong folks on twitter!).

Commenting is the best way to build our reputations in the Internet ecosystem, especially if we have something relevant to the conversation. We build our spheres of influence that way. Good luck!

(And I only have 2 more to go for today!)
