Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

One of the "rules" I live by is this:

Have a mechanic who is trustworthy and does great work.

My mechanic is Joe Disney of Joe's Automotive Service. Joe has been taking care of my vehicles for about 10 years and always does a fantastic job. Joe's Auto is based in Martinsville, but they have clients from all over central Indiana. Sure, Joe and his team are great mechanics. But what makes them the best are the little things. Here are some examples:

-He will pick you up and drop you off.
-Have a check engine light come on, he'll check it out, often for little or no charge.
-I recently had a flat tire on my camper and couldn't loosen the lugs. Joe had one of his mechanics follow me home to loosen the lugs and take the tire back to his shop to fix it.
-I recently had a tree fall on my truck. Joe put my truck on his lift to see if there was any damage--no charge.

For all of these little things, I'm willing to pay Joe. He usually refuses and says "Keep saying good things about me."

Gladly, Joe.
