Good Morning Sunday!

It's been a while since I've contributed to my Smaller Indiana page, so I decided that it was way overdue this morning. I have had the good fortune to have some wonderful evenings this weekend and I thought I'd mention them. Through the good graces of my friend Tom Hume, the owner of Hume & Services, I attended the Techpoint MIRA awards evening Friday night. Smaller Indiana's Pat Coyle was the Emcee and the place was packed with brilliance in Indiana technology. It was a fine evening of rec… Continue

Let it snow.....

I looked outside a little while ago and it was snowing.....again..... I don't really mind snow, I mind the cold that surrounds it. As I was watching the snowflakes - and there a plenty of them - I got to thinking about a call I had last night around 10p.m. I have been trying to bolster my consulting business in Atlanta in order to have more opportunity to go down there and visit my aging parents and the rest of my family. I also know Atlanta to be a vibrant business community and would love to… Continue

Mondays......

I used to hate Mondays. It meant getting up and starting the work - not just the work week, but the work that I didn't enjoy - all over again. The world has changed, though, and so have I. It's interesting what time and technology lead you to think. Before personal computers, I was reliant on my secreta… Continue

A new day....

The sun's not quite up this morning, February 22, as I look out upon the snow and ice covered woods behind my house. The trees are bare reminding me that it's the dead of Winter. You know, that phrase is intriguing.....the dead of Winter. And yet, with the snow covering the landscape, I find an incredible beauty in that dead zone of late February. And I'm thinking, "How does this apply to anything other than wow, it's pretty, but really cold?" In the movie "Being There", Chauncy Gardner is know… Continue

My new page!

I feel so welcome! Friends are welcoming me to Smaller Indiana and it seems much larger than its name. I'm pleasantly surprised to find people that I know already involved with this and happy to have had it suggested to me. This seems like a great way to keep in touch with people you know, get acquainted with those that you don't know and express and discuss ideas of many different matters - from the important to the entertaining. My Smaller Indiana has just grown enormously from the moment I jo… Continue
