Hi Tricia! Not sure if my reply is too late but my company, Affordable Style, seems fitting, as we own and operate eight commerce stores in the fashion-accessories niche. Let me know how to proceed!

Cheap Publicity? Check Out Your School's PTO

As both the incoming president of my school's Parent Teacher Organization as well as a small business owner, I wanted to tell everyone about some ways to get cheap publicity while at the same time helping out in your community.

School PTOs (PTAs) do a number of different fundraisers throughout the year. In this economy, we are having to get more and more creative. Often a one-night fundraiser is successful for us if we make even $100-200. What are some ways that you can get your business in fro… Continue

Tricia, I don't want to appear presumptuous and I don't know if you accept "heads up" on possible story ideas... but here's one anyway. :-)
Nancy Lee (who is on SI) is having an opening event February 5 of her new studio space in Indianapolis. Her website is http://www.ndesignsmetal.com. She has some really nice work and I thought you might want to check her out.

Just wanted to say good job and thanks again for the way you presented my business on Examiner.com. It has created some buzz for me and I have a link to it (and consequently Examiner.com) on the signature of my email.

Hello Tricia:

I am glad to be connected. I operate some of my accounting practice online including tax returns if that will help with your article.

Tricia,
I was wondering what plug-ins, etc...you used to set up your wizards site? I am wanting to set up a shopping site for my artwork and there seem to be so many different choices and I just haven't found one I like yet. Wondered what you used and if you would recommend it?

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.

Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
