Rach Facts

NealTaflinger suggested I do this, so here you go!

1. I have a pink birth mark spot that shows up on my left cheek under my eye whenever I am cold or cry. So sometimes it's hard to hide either of those things!

2. I'm an only child... which I think has lead to some of my favorite hobbies-- going to movies by myself, enjoying a whole day to myself on the couch, and going on vacation by myself (which I have yet to do!) But I swear… Continue

YouTube Viral Marketing Campaigns: Are they becoming too deceitful?

In the latest YouTube viral marketing campaign, an Australian woman claims that she met the man of her dreams in a Sydney coffee shop, and he left his jacket behind. They never had the chance to officially introduce themselves, but she created an online video and posted it on YouTube to try and find him.

Sounds legit, right? Recent news headlines claim that Heidi (the "Cinderella" in the video) is a fake, and the video is a hoax. Rumors state that the video is a viral marketing attempt at promo… Continue

Blogging: How musicians connect with fans

I'm a huge music fan. I take every opportunity I have to see concerts. I love seeing concerts at the Murat and Deer Creek (I know, it's Verizon Wireless Music Center now). I'll take a wild guess here, but if you like music or attend concerts, I'm pretty sure you've taken the time the visit some of your favorite mu… Continue

The Importance of a Great Website

Website interaction has never been more important than the present. Recently on TV, I have noticed so many shows that encourage viewers to visit the website for "more". Whether it's MTV or HGTV, show hosts are telling viewers to visit the show's website to answer a poll, watch more clips, or read a blog.

On HGTV, there is even a show based on website comments and pictures, called "Rate My Space." Viewers log onto the HGTV website and post pictures of rooms in their home. Other website viewers r… Continue

Web Videos: A Non-Profit's Most Effective Marketing Tool

The goal of most non-profits is to help or change some type of issue. The way non-profits accomplish that goal is through community volunteers and donations. Viral marketing videos can be a key strategy for encouraging people to donate.

Visuals are powerful. The old saying "a picture says a thousand words" is very true... But a powerful video can say even more.

A short video that covers what, why, and how is crucial. First, explain what your organization is. Then dive into why your organizatio… Continue

1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.
