In keeping with your honeymoon metaphor, I would say I am just rounding first base with my employer - state government - when it comes to understanding and adopting social media applications and strategies. We have many more dates to go on before ...

Count me in! I would love to start with the year old tag on the Yats building that I have to look at everyday when I come and go. I'll have to ask Joe if I can remove it. Maybe he likes it there or something- who knows!

What is your greatest strength?
I am the hostess with the mostest. I get my greatest highs from meeting new people and making connections and introductions and helping people find each other. So don't be alarmed when I ask you if you're looking for new clients, a girlfriend and a dry-wall contractor all in the same breath.
What are you working on?
In March 2009 I accepted a position as the consumer protection spokesperson for the Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller. I have learned more about mortgage fraud and foreclosure laws, telephone privacy laws, licensing complaints and consumer litigation than I would have imagined. My goal is to implement new media strategies into the way things have been done to stretch the reach of our consumer alerts and announcements. Anything worth doing is worth doing right.

Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
I moved to Indianapolis in October 2008 and I want to connect with my new community. Smaller Indiana is a great way to understand the needs and opportunities in Indianapolis. As a public relations professional, I have no doubt that I will find kindred spirits here. That, and I'm never one to shy away from an online social network!

No worries. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but hopefully it will be soon. I'll definitely let you know. I hope you have a great time at SXSW and are able to secure funding for ShoutNow!

Hi Molly - sounds like you and I have some things in common, including leaving the big corporate world to start our own firms! I'm a business consultant mainly doing marketing strategy and marketing communications type work. I'd love to learn more about your own firm as I'm a big fan of networking and my clients may need some help sometime.

To answer your question -those mountains behind me are those surrounding Napa Valley. They have the California look to them, don't they? We moved here from San Jose where I was working for three different Silicon Valley software startups (magnifi, kickfire, moonbuzz) all of which were eventually acquired by other companies. It's fun to meet another Silicon Valley transplant to Indy!

Tell me more about what your company does!

I'd love to get together! I'll be in Indy Thurs-Sunday this week. I just read on your feed that you're going to SXSW on the 13th... Would meeting on the 12th work for you?

Hi Molly,

I read about ShoutNow on Mashable and I love the concept! I am relocating to Indy and I would love to find a job in marketing/social media where I could contribute to a growing, innovative company.

Here's a post with my resume and a little bit more about me:

Please let me know if you would like any additional information and/or if you think I might be a good fit. Thank you for your time!

I see you're going to be at SXSW next week. We should try to connect while we're all down there. The whole gang from Kristian Andersen + Associates is going to be down there as part of our annual pilgrimage to Austin, so we should be able to find some time to sync-up. Doug Karr has told me a little bit about ShoutNow – sounds like a great business.
