Haha - this is too funny. Lesson here: if you want to excite discussion, say the word 'boobs'. Face it, the dynamic duo have magical powers. However, they are simply a part of the female physique and as such, it's okay to have them - even at work....

Well, the unicorn has good offensive weaponry, but Pegasus has superior defensive capabilities. Gee, that's a tough one. I'll have to consult my palantir.

Great Scot! It must be a Broonie, ya kin?

I came across this word today: Broonie. Not something you hear every day, it’s a legendary little creature that arose from old Scottish folklore. (So if you’re trying to pronounce it, say Brrrrr-uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-nay and look fierce.)

Evidently it’s an “unseen, elf-like creature that took care of homes and families by mysteriously performing common tasks such as housecleaning a… Continue

Not your father’s networking event: MEDICAL SCIENCE DEVELOPERS THROW A PARTY

Let’s say you’re an entrepreneur. You have this great idea for a small medical device. It’s filling a specific niche, and it’s innovative and efficient.

Great. But how to get it from your mind to the minions?

The good news in – you’re not in this alone. There are people – companies – out there who can come along side to mentor you and help bring your brain child to life (and more importantly, to market).

INpact is a consortium of such individuals and companies. INpact resources help you navig… Continue

Why do I love Jazzercize so much? In a word: Frozen Towels. (Okay, that’s two words.)

I confess to being a girl who loves creature comforts. I’m all over the softer sofa, the tastier burger, and the now-indispensible seat warmers in my car.

Still, imagine my delight the very first time Michele Teague (Zionsville, Carmel, North Indy, Broadripple fran… Continue

Invention competition provides company spark

Good leadership is always on the lookout for constructive culture development, and for a NW Indy product development firm, it turns out a little friendly competition between PRIIO Pres Larry O'Cull and Veep Sarah Cox served to get creative juices flowing.

It all started when Sarah entered her ingenuous idea for the “Edison Nation” inventor competition sponsored by the retailer, Bed Bath & Beyond. (Edison Nation is an online community which exists to provide inventors with a way to wave thei… Continue

Objectified - in a good way

Priio is a product design firm on the NW side of Indy, and last week associates migrated en mass to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) for a kind of field trip. Mixing a little work with fun, they saw the film “Objectified,” a documentary about how man-made objects actually come into being and how designs influence culture (i.e. behavior, identity, relationship).

The film focused on the designers who shape our manufactured environment (think IKEA), and our interfaces with mass-produced object… Continue
