A coming-out, of sorts (or, why fashion is freaking AMAZING)

I have a confession to make.I go on and on about social causes this, and not being shallow that, but the truth is that I am really heavy into something that many consider the epitome of shallow bullcrap. If you use the word "gay" as a derogatory, and you consider fashion to be gay, then you'd best clear out of the room, honey, because I'm about to crap more rainbows than a Care Bear on…See More

What are you working on?
I'm on an informational journey to grow as a person and as a professional, while sharpening my ear for opportunity. ...So far, it's actually going really well!

Also, I do a lot of promotional stuff such as this:

-Building help site on creative career-building from the ground up at LeahsGotIt.blogspot.com

-Personal blog is at HicksvilleLiterary.blogspot.com, building Indiana and Midwestern pride and awareness while celebrating the good, amusing, and strange bits of Flyover Country.

-Promotions and event staff for Oranje Indy 2009

-Marketing consultant, copywriter, & strategic geek for GeekeryForRent.com -- Web traffic up 200%. Client development currently 6 months ahead of projected goals. New goal is to double client work by the end of 2010 Q2. Here we go!

Um, also working on time management skills because I LOVES me some social media, but between the full-time job and all this volunteering, my Facebook doesn't see much activity outside of my Blogger importing posts.

What Would Jesus Sell?

(originally posted on hicksvilleliterary.blogspot.com)

Living in Indiana my whole life, I’ve had a lot of

religion thrown my way. It’s only natural in the Bible Belt. Going to

church was just something we took for granted as children. But, at the

age of 15, the Word “sank in,” and I was baptized as a Christian.

A lot has happened in the ten years since. Few of my beliefs have really changed much, but my senses for reason, truth, social…

A brief treatise on working with conviction

I've been thinking about direction a lot lately. For the blog, for my romantic relationship, for my career, for my life. I'll try to keep it brief. I've committed to posting at least a couple times a week from now on, but to be quite frank, I feel like crap today. Throat's killing me. Had a milkshake for supper 'cause the thought of solid food hurt.

Anyway. When I…

No, this was not meant to be as condescending as it came across, or at all for that matter. I have a problem of typing while I think, and assuming all came out as intended. I am sorry if this caused any disturbance.

By your reply, I gather you somewhat understood I intended nothing negative. Thank you for giving it a chance.

I am not too involved in the networking on here any longer. I have found it to be a waste of more time than not. I do not count it out, but stay reluctant.

When did you complete your B.A.?

Well Leah, as I read through your page here, I fail to know you much better than I did when I started. By the way, I started at zero. I am curious, where did you attend, and what did you study there? I did learn that you are attempting a bit of networking, and I am still seeking the idea as well.

So, nice to meet you, Leah, sort of.

Hi Leah, what I have seen so far about this community I really like! People actually use it frequently which means there's a bunch of useful info on here. I have the feeling I'm just scratching the surface and that is what will keep me coming back.

Thanks for the comment!
