5 Ways to Not Be a Complete SAP on Social Media

Maybe… I am just in a bad mood. Maybe… I am just upset because the Colt’s lost the Super Bowl last night. Maybe… I am just being honest and open with my opinions… whether right or wrong. Either way… I have a bone to pick with a certain group of people that use social media. I am going [...]

The Only Way to Business Success

I was in a meeting with a potential client… a company called Fanimation… and we were discussing the different parts of our proposal process. At Brandswag we have a 50/50 policy where half of the 12 month social media campaign is paid by the client and the other half is pay-by-performance. So.. long story short… [...]

Starting a Fiction Book. Would Love Opinions on the First Couple of Paragraphs

I am in the process of writing a fiction book with a friend... should be done towards June. I would love opinions from the Smaller Indiana community. Check it out:

Chapter 1

Nothing is supposed to happen. Travis believed that, though the rest of the world did not. He believed it so whole-heartedly that it would be the opening line to his memoirs. On weekday mornings at nine, a boy from Sabarsky would deliver to him an espresso, which he would sip in his study while typing through the story of… Continue

130 Million Are Being Influenced Online. Are you There?

I was reading the new Razorfish FEED Digital Brand Experience Report for 2009. This report is unbelievable and has some amazing statistics to help further the goal of increased use of digital marketing. I am going to be devoting the rest of this week to breaking down the Razorfish report.

At the beginning of the report Razorfish states:
65% of consumers report having had a digital experience that either posit

An Honest Confession. The Problem with Fear

I was driving to work this morning listening to a great track by Sujan Stevens... reminiscing about my "musical" days in college. I played guitar for a long time and have just recently put it aside for other hobbies and activities. I want you to know that I have never... ever... ever talked about this with anyone. This is the "I'm Being Completely Open With My Blog Readers Morning with Kyle" show.

Get Ready.

During the years of guitar playing... I had alway… Continue

Defining Change As An Individual

I found this amazing example of kinetic typography last night and it created an idea that is not new... but needs to be rehearsed and rewritten hundreds if not thousands of times. Do we fully understand the power we have as an individual? Do we fully understand the power we have as a community of individuals?

I am not speaking of change in a political sense but change in a single... solitary way... a change in individuality that has the power to spread across the many platfor… Continue

Hi Kyle. Thank you for the welcome. Why do I love Indiana...because it's Indiana! Midwestern values cannot be traded for anything. I am one of the crazies who love all four seasons because each change brings such new opportunities! We Hoosiers are made of very strong stock and can survive anything!

Kyle, Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to internet networking. I look forward to seeing where this journey may take me both professionally and personally. I've always thought this medium was mainly for much younger peoplebut as I take marketing and networking classes it seems to be the most desired way to get in front of a large amount of people. I've lived in Indiana ALL my life and absolutely love it! Indianapolis is just big enought but not too big. Have a great week!!

Thanks for the warm welcome Kyle. I love Indiana because of its generosity and hospitality. This is a great state for raising families, building relationships—both personal and professional. And, we have one of the best NFL football teams! Go Colts!

Thanks for the comment and welcome, Kyle. If I had to guess the best thing about Indy is the fact that my family is all in the area, but as far as the state goes, I would trying hard not to say corn. Maybe the dunes?
