Indecent Exposure

I recently wrote an article for publication in The Lawyer’s Competitive Edge: The Journal of Law Office Economics and Management. The title is Indecent Exposure and it talked about how most law firms are unprepared for computer calamities.

In fact, most of the small businesses my company serves are unprepared.… Continue

I'd love to meet up some time and pick your brain. You seem to harbor quite a few heretical notions. It's been my experience that heretical notions tend to be the "real" truth.

So regarding meeting up, let me know what works for you, as a grad student, I'm generally available most times :o).

Outstanding read. I think you achieved the goal writing something that other aspiring entrepreneurs would find useful. I haven't talked to VCs but from what I could gather from my short 3 years of graduate school @ Purdue, (based on who traditionally wins Burton D. Morgan B-plan Competitions--this year's 1st place was an anomaly) is that they seem to be really interested in Biotech and traditional IP, things you hit on in your write up. I'm glad to see that my hunch was spot on.

I was recently in the Incubicity Final Summit B-plan Competition for my business idea. I detail my experience with the competition here (careful--I drop the "f-bomb" more than a couple times in that post). If you're talking about launching something that has to do with IT/Web & you want local investment...good luck in Indiana.

Kim - thanks for the tip on the Indiana Week in Review comments. You were the first to mention it to me and I appreciate the tip! I need to get a demo of the FileEngine sometime soon too!

Kim, That's awesome. I joined the Greener IN group because in addition to my graphics business, my husband and I have a foam insulation company, FoamXperts, and our focus is the use of eco-friendly products and energy efficiency. It seemed like a good group to connect with like-minded folks.

Great work on the article - I really enjoy that publication.

I think Brian Wolff mentioned your name and/or company to me the other day. We may be a good referral source for you if i am correct. Are you up for a cup of coffee?
