Making out on the first date? Uh, no. I have no interest in making out with someone I just met. This isn't high school. I think the men you surveyed should take heed from the women's #1 and listen more; they just might learn something:)

Need an insurance agent....

Hello my SI friends. I need an insurance agent that does not use a credit score when charging for home owners insurance. I have a previous customer (from my other life) who called yesterday. Needs to get her insurance amount down, her credit is shot to various things and needs to get cheaper insurance in the home that her lower functioning daughter stays in. Would that apply to any of you?? If so, please send me your name and number and I'll pass it over to my friend Sharon. Thanks for your help… Continue

Good and Bad Cocktail Parties

I'd like a little advice from all my fellow Smoosiers! Think back to a time when you either went to an ice breaker, crowd mixer, cocktail party or something where you had an exceptionally good or bad time time. (You may delete the part about ending up in a corner with a lampshade on your head) What did the host or hostess do that worked and didn't work?

Looking For Love in the New Year?

New Years Eve and New Years Day are quoted as being the loneliest times of the year for singles. For those of you that spent New Years Eve home alone, January 1st may be the day when it’s time to start making some changes and really focus on meeting someone special this year.

Maybe you swear you are going to have someone to kiss at Midnight next New Years Eve. Perhaps you’ve decided you’d like to have a date for Valentine’s Day. For those who have made that decision, what are you willing to cha… Continue

The Fine Art of Small Talk

For those of you going to a New Years Eve party this year, wouldn’t it be nice to be the hit of the party? Knowing how to make small talk might just make you the “it” guy or gal of the evening.

Conversational skills are very important in business and in life. Those who are at ease conversationally have the ability to "connect" with others which builds rapport and, eventually, relationships. Developing your skills at small talk can be an important step in your personal and dating life.

Jodi- Looking forward to meeting out the event tomorrow night. I am also a sponsor for April's event. BTW- I have a contact that I think you should talk to about the singles events. She coordinates for the Carmel area. A darling gal that I know you would just love! We connected due to the fact that I used to own IndySingleScene for 2 yrs. Aways... looking forward to chatting with you.
Have a great day!
