The Ladders: Job Listers or Cat Herders?

I am sitting here watching the BCS championship game and had to add a comment on the new ad from The Ladders. Are there no new ideas anymore? This is the same ad from the Super Bowl featuring the "cat herding" cowboys. I'm sure it will be on YouTube by tomorrow, check it out. Look for "The Ladders Safari Ad". I hope this isn't the quality of advertising we have to look forward to in this year's big football games.

Needless to say, if this happens, it could change the way marketers leverage social networking sites. www.trendcenContinue

Finally, a definition of marketing that makes sense...

I wish I could claim credit for the following, but this was recently posted on the Funtasticus blog. I had to share...

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say, “I’m fantastic in bed.” That’s Direct Marketing.

You’re at a party with a bunch of friends and see a gorgeous girl. One of your friends goes up to her and pointing at you says, “He’s fantastic in bed.” That’s Advertising.

Hi Jason. My name is Ginger Kreitl. I just joined Smaller Indiana yesterday to build my network in order to find employment in the Human Resources field. I recently graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University this past spring. I wanted to know if you had any ideas and/or contacts in the field?

Thanks, Jason. I have seen Bob several times, going back to when he used to play at Birdy's! He puts on such a great live show. I had friends that went to UT in Austin years ago that turned me on to him, and I've been a fan for years. Thanks for the heads up on the upcoming show. I hadn't heard about it yet!

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.
