Same here, I guess the best part is that it makes us send it to people we know so they will not lose a loved one. The part with the child in the backseat saying "Mommy, Daddy wakeup" really got to me.

Thanks for sharing this sobering reminder that a car can be a deadly weapon. Made me cry and made me share.

Driving While texting- This video is sobering

If you have not seen this video that was produced in Great Britain it is very sobering and I suggest you send it to all parents of teenagers and college students as it may end up saving a life or two.

Why are we buying congressmen new luxury jetliners?

I guess we are just not fast enought to catch all the pork that the congressmen and senators build into bills and never really will. I do hope you all remember this when the next election comes about. Once elected it seems us commoners are just afterthoughts to the people that we elected. See story below.

Williams, 18, graduated fourth in her high school class with a GPA just under 4.0. It's an amazing feat considering she spent the bulk of her life… Continue

10 Things I Wish My Father Had Told Me
Dear Dad

My father had rules. They governed everything from his clothing to his business dealings to a day at the ballpark, and they were based on the notion that there are certain things a Good Man does and certain things he doesn't do.

Recently, I set about compiling a list of his rules with the goal of presenting my own future offspring with an instruction manual for proper living. But for every one of m… Continue

Goodbye GM-By Michael Moore

Goodbye, GM
by Michael Moore

June 1, 2009

I write this on the morning of the end of the once-mighty General Motors. By high noon, the President of the United States will have made it official: General Motors, as we know it, has been totaled.

As I sit here in GM's birthplace, Flint, Michigan, I am surrounded by friends and family who are filled with anxiety about what will happen to them and to the town. Forty percent of the homes and businesses in the city have been abandoned. Imagine what it… Continue

Recently I've created a 12 Subject Photoshop course for Photographers, and thought it would be something of interest to you. The course is 3 hours, 1 on 1, and you receive a handbook to go along with the course. Customizing the course by Subject is also possible. This is a great course that will benefit your photography forever. Course details can be seen on my site www.newmanphoto.net under Classes. Let me know if interested and I hope to speak soon.

Hi Dave - sorry, I don't make it to SI very often so my reply is beyond overdue. Ideally, I want to get out of straight nuts and bolts month-end close accounting and into financial analysis. I'd still like to have a boss/mentor at this point until I can acquire some new skills. I know I am capable of way more than I am doing now but companies seem to take one look at my resume and I get pigeon-holed. I welcome your thoughts on how I could proceed from here. Thanks!

Just sent it over, thanks! Forgot to mention, I'm a Six Sigma Black Belt - so change management is also an option.
