It's always good to connect and share thoughts and views with others that's not always shop talk.
I hope this site keeps me more aware of the career connections, but also a lot of the fun and social things after the 9 to 5 is done!

Sounds good. I will not be playing there tomorrow. They schedule musicians in for their own shows no more than a month at at time. They only time I play there more than once a month is if it's with someone else, which isn't very often. I'm am looking into Saturday afternoons to play instrumental piano and keyboard music, which constitutes a different type of show.

Anyway, let me know if you are going to be there.

Darrell,

How's it going. I'll be around this weekend, and probably at The Bean Cup hanging out on Saturday late afternoon or evening. Are you thinking about stopping out there? I'm not sure what's on for tomorrow, but I know the Sugar Creek Bluegrass band is playing there tonight, but I'm not sure if I'll make it. Let me know what you're up to and if you'll be around. See ya!

For example, if your were a lawyer arguing Roe v Wade in the Supreme Court and your only argument was built on the beliefs of one particular religion, you'd be escorted out of court. Religion is not enough to argue the lawfulness of a matter. I'd be happy to publish your comments if you'd like to discuss the Constituional grounds for abortion rights (gender equality, privacy, etc.), but sinced my entry was not about religion and Christianity, your comment was off topic and this irrelevent.

Hi Darrell --

In response to your emails to me:

Your comments on my blog were not approved because, instead of adding to the discussion in a productive and enlightening manner, you resorted to the petty name calling and attacks typical of the anti-choice, Christian side, arguing your believe in abortion solely on the grounds that "the Bible says it's wrong." While I respect your right to believe in the Bible, the United States, its laws and our Constitution are not based in Christianity, therefore your particular religious beliefs are irrelevent when discussing a matter of law.

Hi, Darrell,

How did your interview go yesterday? I'm sorry I didn't get to respond sooner but I am just now checking emails from yesterday. I am anxious to hear about the interview. Is there some place where we can read your story and the subsequent article about you? Thanks,

Thanks Darrell. I looks like you found my older, not being used SI profile. I'm sending this from my proper profile. Anyway, it was good to see you both out at the show. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to speak with you. We'll have to catch up sometime and have a visit.

To answer your question, my influences vary, but they include classical, 70's rock, some 60's rock, The Beatles to The Counting Crows, Jackson Browne to Jason Mraz. I listen to lots of today's singer/songwriters, and I used to listen to lots of the 60's and 70's singer/songwriters, of which, yes, Jim Croce was one. Now that man was a great songwriter.

I enjoy poetry, but it doesn't seem to influence my songs, at least directly. However, I do write lots of poetry, so I guess there's that kind of similarity in my written expressions.

Thanks again. I'll see ya around.
