That's good news. It's one thing for the arts to be encouraged, but when it's a fragmented approach, competing factions often doom the effort. I hope this winds up being a unified, successful venture.

Be Indypendent is a citywide movement that celebrates and supports all things unique to Indianapolis. From art to coffee shops, if it's original to Indy then it's Indypendent!

Would that I could, but my wife is out of town, so I'm caring for my two young 'uns.

Arts seems to always be the distinguishing factor between communities that do well and those that don't. Twelve or 15 years ago, only a handful of towns and cities in Indiana had an art scene, but almost everyone knew about those places, and they ...

I realize this is far-fetched, but you could probably use my space from time-to-time. The catch is that I'm in Kokomo. Still, maybe it's an option for you.

GRATITUDE

I want to express my gratitude for those here who spread the word or particpated in the Spectrum Photography portrait head shot day a few weeks ago. It was very successful, which is good for me and for those who got some good images.

But, also important is that the response shows that Smaller Indiana is effective in getting the word out to the right people.

Hey there! I LOVE that picture - I couldn't believe that you were able to get a good picture when Buddy was scared to death and I was not feeling picture-esque. The pet expo only has one photographer, but they have exclusivity on taking photos at the expo. But let me see what I can do! Also - I have a New Year's Eve event coming up - www.indynewyears.com. We should talk about the option of setting something up there! We did it the first year, but not last year - and it was missed. 800+ attendees. Call me sometime this weekend or early next week if you get a chance, 317-782-0724. Thanks, Curt!

Can you give me some specifics, Joe? What kind of senior tricks are you talking about, for example? There are some other concepts that I can't recall, but if you can give me specifics on those, I'll be grateful.
And, while I have CS2, I use Elements exclusively - CS2 intimidates me. So, with that mental limitation, will you still be able to help me?

Recently I've created a 12 Subject Photoshop course for Photographers, and thought it would be something of interest to you. The course is 3 hours, 1 on 1, and you receive a handbook to go along with the course. Customizing the course by Subject is also possible. This is a great course that will benefit your photography forever. Course details can be seen on my site www.newmanphoto.net under Classes. Let me know if interested and I hope to speak soon.

I haven't decided whether to go, Brandon. I've not participated much in Smaller Indiana, so I'm not sure it's the right place for me. It's tough working a room with so many strangers.
I've never heard of someone who does what you do. I know music can be therapeutic, so it makes sense that you've put your skills in such places. Is it going well for you?

Amen Curt. The brain drain is pretty dangerous in this area.
