The only con is AT&T's wacky price inconsistency. There is a lot of confusion as to who gets the subsidezed price and who doesn't.
But if you're buying an iPhone for the first time and you're getting the 3G for $99, well t...
Actually the only con that I see is that it currently (or I should say AT &T) doesn't have tethering available yet and not everywhere around the metro area is 3G compatible which slows it down.
I may be iPhone-bias, but there aren't many real cons. If you haven't picked one up yet, $99 is a steal for this phone. I don't know how I got along with out it!
Believe me, you'll love it.
I live in an AT&T deadzone so I'd go for the new iPhone if Sprint could carry it...
I believe that this will be the time that I renew my AT&T contract with an iPhone. I am eligible in July, so this is perfect timing. I've been contemplating for a long time whether or not to get one, but now I think I will make that jump.

Woman Arrested for Trespassing in Her Own Home After Supposed Mortgage Scam
This article is absolutely sickening. It illustrates how much of a police-state that our country is turning into.
Yesterday...This woman had her house payed off but, after the mortgage companies tossed her mortgage around a couple times, Wacovia ended up with it...and did not honor the previous payments. She was arrested for trespassing in her own home. We give these banks billions of dollars and this is how they treat people.
