Hello! New to the group. I'm the stay at home mom to five kiddos and blog about our daily life and our journey through adoption. I am strong in my faith and just returned from a mission trip to Kenya that stretched me and challenged me. I am attempting to merge my writing with a late developing interest in photography. Would love feedback on my blog.

Hey! I'm new to this group. I'm a journalist by heart and by trade until the July Indy Star lay-off. I am currently a public relations and marketing intern at Roundpeg, a research assistant for Dr. David Sumner at Ball State University and a nanny. For now, I am living life day-by-day and looking for work.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the group after seeing Smaller Indiana online for the first time. In a former life I was a benefits consultant and staffing manager, but my independent thinking and love for writing have encouraged me to branch out on my own. Originally from Northern Indiana, I'm a freelance writer and blogger producing web content in various niches. Though I have a diploma in human relations and public speaking, I have returned to school to complete my degree in Communications. My website has information, news and an international job portal for all freelancers at www.freedomlance.net . I am looking to do freelance projects locally and meeting fellow writers.

Cheers to your success!

Is there a good forum discussion for beginning writer's here. Something along the line of, Late blooming baby boomer jumpstarting a long neglected freelance writing career after 30 years of raising five indpendent functioning children turned adults? In other words, a forum discussion for old lady writers who still have their brain cells functioning..?

1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
