Twitter's New Feature "LISTS" - How are you using it?

Well, I figured out how to create my lists BUT I don't know how to use them. Can I only use them on Tweetdeck? (I don't know how to create new columns and add the lists.) Also, can I only read by lists, or can I - more importantly - tweet per list? Help anyone?

Thanks Cheryl - I will definitely read the mashable blog on lists. I am getting the hang of it on how to use them, but not quite there yet. And BTW I am now following you on Twitter. - Greg
