Adam Yale, check out Hoosier Organic Connection, they also do fresh produce delivery and they have many other fine products as well.

Hi Genie,
We are fortunate enough to live 2 blocks from Your Neighbor's Garden - check out their website at www.yourneighborsgarden.com. In addition to providing the neighborhood with a charming little garden house in the back of their home (where you pay on the "honor system"), they are often at Farmer's Markets and supply many local restaurants as well. Their produce is excellent and I love that it's so close to us! They will be reopening for the season on Wed., April 11th & I can't wait!

Enjoy!

Thank you.

Yes - I subscribed to their service last year and they were wonderful! Their selections are fresh, organic & I thought the service itself was very reliable. The only reason I discontinued it was because I found out we had a farm stand with wonderful veggies 2 blocks away!

Has anybody heard of Farm Fresh Delivery? They deliver fresh produce to your door.

Personally, I Love Boathouse Grill on 56th (not to be confused with Rick's Boatyard off 38th).
The food is great and Katie will make you feel right at home

Donate your old coffee. At Midwest Organic Coffee Company we recommend to our new clients that they bring the old coffee to us and we add it to what others donate and some of ours, then we grind it all together and take it to our local rescue mission. The first time we took it there (15 pounds), they only had enough for breakfast that day. We got a blessing walking in at just the right time.

Sloan - Thanks for posting...I'll add that unfortunately some pantries won't accept perishables. However, for anyone in the MKNA/BRV area, you can drop off extra produce at the corner of Washington and 57th. There is a Mary statue on the grounds of IHM Parish there...leave any extra produce there and voluntees will collect them and deliver them to Anna's House, a food line on the near west side of Indy (many might remember that this is the organization that Lucious Newsom started). Starting in June, just drop off your extras by 9 am any Saturday all summer long. Volunteers come each Saturday to collect donations and bring them to Anna's House.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share some information for you gardeners; as the season is approaching. You can donate extra produce to Gleaners Food Bank or a pantry near you to help feed the hungry! There is a great project called "Plant-A-Row for the Hungry" and Gleaners has a number of folks who bring in their bounty to share with those in need. We are always looking for ways to recycle as well, if you are into composting let me know! Thanks!

I have been prospecting Aflac to 2 old time taverns in the last few weeks that need to be put on the board. Old Town Ale House in Fishers has quite the selection of drafts available and marry up quite nicely with the food and they advertise locally grown on their website. Great specials and beer flights to sample at reasonable prices. A no brainer if you want to eat or drink something different. The other is Brockway Pub next to Meier in Carmel. No where near the selection of drafts that Old Town has but their system of serving the coldest Guiness and Smithwick's is awesome. I reccommend their fish and chips.
