Thank you for the additional sites Bill! I'll check them out. Drug interaction and adverse outcomes has developed into a relatively new field of study - pharmacoepidemiology. We just had a public health cafe on this topic. I hope more people educate themselves in this area. Even lay people would benefit by knowing what not to take together.

I recently sat in on the meeting about the problems with the water at the Indiana reservoirs. We do have a piece of equipment that will help eliminate one of the parameters that is causing the algae bacteria from the-phosphorus- while reducing cost and energy in doing a home duty-laundry-as well as water systems for drinking

Denise,
That is a good adverse drug web site. There are so many problems with interactions and side effects. My parents had serious problems because of these. Since I am also involved with natural whole food supplements there can be adverse problems and interactions there as well such as using Garlic or Tumeric when someone is on blood thinner medication. I have referred to these sites www.medherb.com/adverse.htm and www.islandnet.com in the past

The OPHP offered a Public Health Cafe this morning covering Health Reform. A site I found very intriguing, which provides weekly updates, includes discussion forums, a state by state account on how health reform could benefit that population, and much much more! http://www.healthreform.gov/

In thinking about Public Health trends lately, I came across a site that gives state snapshots at America's Health Rankings. You can visit this site at: http://www.americashealthrankings.org/2008/index.html

Hope everyone's having a fantastic day! If you want more drug information, you can find it at this site which provides a comprehensive examination of adverse drug reactions, side effects and safety information for both prescription and over-the-counter medications. Free registration necessary to access information. Lots of great stuff.

Thanks for the WebMD link Kristen! It does bring up several major points of concern surrounding H1N1.
