We want your help to promote Fall Travel in Indiana

Thanks for joining the Indiana Leaf Cam group. Our goal is to promote Fall Travel here in Indiana, and we need your help. Like many other organizations, we need to maximize our impact and want to reach out to all Smoosiers (members of Smaller Indiana) and ask for your help. Tourism is big business in Indiana, attracting more than 62 million visitors and generating more than $10 billion in economic impact each year. Indiana's tourism industry employs more 257,000 Hoosiers! Here's where you come in. We're looking for Smoosiers to start making noise online about Indiana. We want you to blog, tweet and share photos about your experiences, your favorite events and attractions, and everything you love about the fall in Indiana.

We've started the #LeafCam hashtag on Twitter and the LeafCam tag on Flickr. You can also blog about the Leaf Cam or join our Facebook Group and tell us about your travels in Indiana. Just be sure to link off to visitindiana.com or visitindiana.com/leafcam/

In order to win one of the prizes, simply link off to VisitIndiana.com or VisitIndiana.com/LeafCam/ on Twitter, Facebook your Smaller Indiana blog or a personal blog. Then post a link to that Tweet/Status/Blog in the contest discussion group below!

Each year, the Indiana Office of Tourism Development launches the Leaf Cam. This year, we've put webcams in 5 different locations throughout Indiana to let you know when the leaves are starting to change - that's the perfect time for a Fall Getaway!

This year's Leaf Cam locations are:

- Hilltop Cabins in Brown County (Nashville)
- French Lick Resort (French Lick)
- The Fort Golf Course (Indianapolis)
- Historic Corydon (Corydon)
- Spring Mill State Park (Mitchell)

Finally a sunny day to really enjoy the foliage.
If you are lucky enough to get down to French Lick, stop in for dinner or a fabulous fusion martini at the Beechwood Inn.

We were at the IMA today, and discovered there is a much to see on the grounds as in the museum. Especially in the fall

I just love the Patoka Lake area. You can get there in a couple of hours from anywhere in the mid-to-southern half of the state. And there is so much to see and do. It lies on the western edge of the Hoosier National Forest - a true outdoor enthusiast's paradise! Just Southeast of Patoka, is one of my favorite caves - Marengo Cave. One of the sections of the cave is called the Crystal Palace - beautiful. Very awe inspiring! :) This cave tour you won't get muddy, but if you're looking for mud (and a challenge) then you'll want to try their Underground Adventure or Waterfall Crawl. Very exciting (and muddy)!

My anniversary (4 years) is today. I hope to be whisked away this weekend to Brown County (where we went for our first anniversary) but I'm not betting on it LOL

There are few things more beautiful than a hike through Brown County in the fall. That's why my wife and I will be spending our Anniversary weekend doing just that.

I was so glad to find this group. I live in Warren County, where Fall Creek Gorge is located. It's part of the Pine Creek watershed area. I grew up adjacent to what is now the Al & Gladys Wright Nature Preserve, which is a N.I.C.H.E.S. property. Warren County is a beautiful area with 5 (I think) nature preserves. Almost all of our southern border is formed by the Wabash River, so we are NOT TOTALLY in the "flat" part of Indiana. We have rolling, forest-covered hills and rocky cliffs that were carved by the glaciers. If you want to see more color, drive north on US41, after visiting Phillip's route below which includes Fall Creek Gorge (another N.I.C.H.E.S. property). Turn south on 63 and you can see lots of color. Keep going and you end up at the Beef House! Or you can turn off on 263 (Old 63) and go through West Lebanon and head south on the "Redbud Trail" scenic drive, which is just at lovely in the fall. Turn east on 136 and go to Covington where you can visit antique and craft stores and a GREAT art gallery.
