JL Kato's Poetry Notebook is a great resource for local poetry.

Thought I would add something encouraging!

Jesus Loves Me So!

In this world, trials I may face
I rejoice, for I have His grace
For that, on and on I go

Jesus loves me!
This I know!
My Bible tells me so!

In the morn, in my quiet place
On my knees I seek His face
With my heart aglow

Jesus loves me!
This I know!
My Bible tells me so!

In sins disgrace
Dare I show my face?
In His forgiveness, washed whiter than snow
Jesus loves me!
This I know!
My Bible tells me so!

Life’s such a hurried pace
Only by Him, we win the race
Giving rest, taking it slow

Jesus loves me!
This I know!
My Bible tells me so!

On and on I go
A wonder, I see on your face
Take my hand. Let’s go to a quiet place
On bended knee, we’ll seek His Holy Face

Jesus loves you!
This you know!
Our Lord and Savior is telling us so!

I love to write as well for many reasons in the name of tranquility, therapy, and relaxation. Still can't decide whether I could be called a poet?! I know it will be interesting as to see what may be penned here!

Why is this wall blank? I thought we were writers once. What the hell? Someone post a poem or something. Here, I will start.

Coma

Too many memories are wrapped up inside
That I will never enjoy, not for one more day
Imagine a fragile eggshell around my mind
Forming a seeping crack, for the yolk will not stay

Trust has been lost for any new acquaintance
For I do not even trust my first twenty-one years
I have a belief of someone's story in an instance
During my slumber, it was whispered in my ears

My perception of all people from my past
Is a curiosity which I will always ponder
Are they everything they claim to be so fast?
They are given the benefit, while I still wonder

Is it from the mind of someone I do not know?
Or is the experience everything it is said to be?
All the newly acquired memories might not glow
The source of their origin is only a possibility

What if they ask me, "What was your highest position?"
What if the answer to the question was before I woke?
What if I never achieve that forgotten mission?
What if I tell them, "It is not possible to even evoke."?
