I hope everyone's got some time outside this fall. I'm amazed at how fast the leaves have fallen in the last two days.

I've been playing with Nik Software's pluggins the last couple weeks, I really like how easy they are to use and how subtle the changes can be. For this image I used Sharpener and Color Efex with a toned-down bleach bypass.

I agree about the difficulty of getting a good frame at that spot Dario. It is one time where someone with a view camera can actually do the best. That was also the reason why I used a 60mm lens which is something like a 28mm in 135 Format. That way I did not have to try really hard to get a wide shot. Here is the same spot a few months ago:

PK, let me know when you'd like to come by as I dont normally spend time at the studio (hence why its available for rent).

Re: that spot at IMA, I've always found it enticing and yet incredibly difficult to shoot. Something about the perspective and angle of that particular spot, I personally have never gotten it a satisfying result from it. But I agree, its a beautiful arrangement and would make a great series of shots. I'm inspired to try my hand at it if I can wrap my brain around how to approach it.

@Chris - Thanks for the comment. I go to the spot every time I visit IMA. I might actually end up with enough photos to make a collection of just that one spot :D. I personally think people are afraid to get their precious boots dirty :-D

Hey Dario - unfortunately my wife will on a plane back from Kenya otherwise I would have come by myself. I was sooo looking forward to the studio visit. I could come by during the week if I cannot come to the Open House.

I was happy to discover two of my shots in the Capture Indy book at the launch party downtown. I bought one of the copies they had there.
