Here was a shot from a bridge...up north on Hwy 31 by Warsaw.

This one was shot with a 2 Mp cell phone with some lint on the lens. Cornfield stubble with a maple leaf.

One technique I have found useful here in the land of flat mountains is to use the artificial hills created by interstate overpasses to shoot from a slight perspective from above. Kinda cleans a lot of that horizon clutter up and makes the flatness a little more interesting somehow. On the down side, you are clearly limited to where the hills are. Tough to move 'em. I have also done some climbing up grain elevators and talked my way into buildings with upper level windows.

Oh for sure, we get beautiful sunsets. Problem is when we get to the bottom of your shot -- the horizon itself gets in the way. It takes quite a bit of effort to find a spot that adds and doesnt detract from a potential shot.

I've lamented central Indiana's... flatness ever since moving here ten years ago. Lately I've been thinking though that one thing we absolutely have in spades are incredible sunsets. Just about as beautiful as any mountain range and we get a new view every night.
