Well, when my parents finally split and my mom got a new boyfriend who is now my stepdad, there wasn't much to connect with between me and him. We had a lot of issues with each other until one night, he told me to get dressed up, using the new black shirt and silver tie he had just gotten me. We matched and my mom took some pictures before we left. i had no idea where we were going.

Well, as we were driving down the road, he said to open the glove box. i did and out popped two tix to the broadway premiere in indianapolis of Phantom of the Opera. I was extremely excited because i loved listening to the music and always wanted to see the actual musical.

We went to Olive Garden for dinner first. We had a good dinner and we drove onto the Murat. Well we went into the Murat and forgot the tix. We went back to the car only to find out that we had locked the keys in there. Thankfully we were very early. My stepdad called my mom who brought the extra from our home wth a friend's car. We got the tix and went inside and got our spots. We both really enjoyed watching it.

It's kind of a pasttime for him becuase back in high school, he ended up running into the cast with his friends at the ice rink and became good friends with the guy who played Phantom. He watched all their shows that they had here in indianapolis. He's had a bit of a history with the whole Phantom of the Opera bit.

After that, we went on to see several more shows over the past 4 years.

All in all, i want to win these tix for two reasons, one) i finally want to take him to see a show, and two) we havent been to one in a year and i'd love to see this one.

What a fantastic opportunity for whomever wins...I personally would love to be able to attend and share it with other Smoosiers. I danced for 15 years in my youth and loved it. I have never had the great fortune to attend a Performance of Hoosier Ballet, which I think would be very fascinating.

Otherwise, the only other argument I can offer is that I had to put my beloved black cat of 17 years to sleep earlier this month, and Halloween will end up being a pretty long and lonely evening without her this year.

On a brighter note, I wish all of you the best of luck!

I first saw the Phantom while stationed in Pearl Harbor with a fellow sailor and his wife. That was a different life, a lifetime ago.

Since then, I have moved to Indiana, married, and have a wonderful family. I've kept the memory of that musical particularly dear, and have shared with my family. However, my wife has never seen the Phantom, and this is something I would really love to share with her.

We didn't pre-purchase tickets of our own because of a rather difficult year. Our 6 year old is home-schooled, so that my wife may be closer to our live-in grandmother (granda has alzhemier's, we don't get out as much anymore). We have the potential for a sitter Friday (Yay!) and would consider it a true blessing to have this opportunity come up.

Thank you for the opportunity to share,...

This is the ONLY music my husband absolutely LOVES when it comes to performances like this! Who would have thought a 6' 5"former Canadian military, rugby, football, engineer would get teary eyed and lovey watching the remake of the Phantom with me!?

Maybe a date to this ballet would be a way to thank him for all of his loving support and focus on supporting our family while growing a business!

Mike has been amazing over the past year and so supportive as we took on two of my very young granddaughters full time, working with our 18 year old son who has been diagnosed with very painful arthritis and fibromialgia, and taken on much of my responsibilities for our business.....

With our childrens 5 trips to hospitals and many more to doctors in the last month, he has not had a break from managing the house or business! (Or time alone with me!)

This performance would be an amazing time for us both!

I'd love to win these for my husband. He's a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera & listens to the soundtrack all the time. But he's never had the opportunity to see it live, and like so many guys, has never been to a ballet performance! This would be the perfect way to introduce him to ballet!

I would LOVE the opportunity to see Phantom of the Opera performed by the IBC! I love the stage and everything that takes place on it…theatre, music, dance! While other kids found their calling in sports, I found my calling on the stage. I’ve been in love with it ever since. The stage is thrilling… and even in the audience I feel the nerves and excitement from behind the curtain.

If I get to go, I will be the girl decked out to the nines, on the edge of my seat, with the smitten-ballet-lovin’-grin on my face!

Break a leg IBC!

This weekend is my daughter’s birthday (she will be 9), and we always spend the day together doing something special - just her and dad. We always try to do something memorable, and something that we can share with the rest of the family when we get home (she has three sisters). She loves the performing arts, and would love to see a ballet performance.

On another note, her and her sisters have all expressed a great interest in ballet and curiosity since they found out that dad took ballet in college. They didn’t believe the story until I pulled out my ballet shoes! It would be nice for her to see such a great performance and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of ballet.

My girlfriend's younger sister is 14 years old and has been in dance for several years now. She is very passionate about it and she has even put on a dance camp in her backyard the last two years to help younger girls develop a similar passion for dancing. I don't think she has ever been to a production like this and I know she would LOVE to go to this show. My girlfriend is an avid Phantom of the Opera fan and would immensely enjoy the show as well. I would really like to get these tickets and surprise them! I appreciate your consideration very much!! :)

I'd love to go see this ballet to make me a more well-rounded individual. You see, I'm a member of Naptown Roller Girls- Indianapolis' flat track derby team. My alter ego is Sookie Smackhouse- and I spend 3-4 nights of my week hitting other girls while on skates, and getting smashed to the ground multiple times- all for fun! It's a competitive, aggressive sport. In my free time, I'd like to say you can see my softer side, but sometimes that's not always the case. My husband can attest to this. Getting to attend the ballet with him this weekend would be a great alternative to how he usually gets to see me. Hopefully my dress can cover up my derby bruises :)

I love ballet and took classes when I was young with hopes of being a ballerina. While that dream didn't pan out, I'm certain this show is not to be missed by patrons of the Ballet. This year has been one of lose for me including the end of a marriage, the death of a family member, and the closing of a friend's business. This holiday seaosn, I'm looking to be inspired and to have my spirit uplifted by enjoying some of Indy's best arts and cultural offerings.
