The Indiana Renewable Energy Association (www.indianarenew.org) is very pleased to invite the Greener Indiana members of Smaller Indiana to a reception for Paul Gipe, internationally renowned author on wind power and advocate for governmental policies promoting renewable energy development. Paul Gipe (www.wind-works.org) is a Ball State University graduate and native of Alexandria, Indiana, who now lives and works in California. This is a unique opportunity to meet and hear from this wind energy expert and advocate for Feed-in Tariffs (FITs).

WHAT: Reception with Paul Gipe on Incentives to Promote Renewable Energy
DATE: Thursday, September 11, 2008
TIME: 6:00 to 8:30 pm; Gipe presentation at 7:00 pm
PLACE: Club Soda, 235 E. Superior St., Ft. Wayne, IN
www.clubsodafortwayne.com
RSVP: lauraarnold@indianarenew.org or (317) 635-1701
COST: Free for InREA Members; You can join at http://www.indianarenew.org/membership.html; All others $5 per person.

Please see a recent article in the Christian Science Monitor describing how FITs are working in Germany. http://features.csmonitor.com/environment/2008/08/20/germany%E2%80%99s-key-to-green-energy/

In addition to a federal law introduced to establish FITs, bills have been introduced in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Rhode Island and California. Paul Gipe is also scheduled to meet with Michigan State legislators and members of the Michigan Public Service Commission on September 16-17.

InREA advocates discussion and debate of all proposals to promote the development of renewable energy resources in our state including FITs, net metering, a state Renewable Electricity Standard, a federal Renewable Portfolio Standard as well as federal and state tax incentives. We invite you to join us to learn more about these proposals.

Please see an article from the Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel about Gipe.

I am part owner of a "Green" consumer products company called EccaPure.com. If you would like to try some products, use the code "cs28" and receive 15% off all products. We are doing what we can to get these products to market. Let me know if you know people we can network thru. Thank you so much.

Hi there~I am new to the group. I, too, am surprised at the apparent lack of information out there on green guidelines. I have several ideas for green/sustainable business ventures and I'm not sure where to start. Maybe here...

Boxes that cereal, soda, yogurt drinks come in. Paper towel tubes and toilet paper tubes. It's that stiff cardboard that isn't corrugated. Paperboard is the leading source of waste according to an EPA article I read. Cities all around indianapoilis
