Indy IT Professionals is dynamic organization comprised of systems, network, telecom, website, and marketing professionals. We are growing yet again.

Indy IT Professionals is looking for an expert in XML for a specific project.

This position must be willing to work with a Project Manager and team of developers to automate the process of receiving files in a delimited format, automate conversion to XML format, and submit to another company via Secure HTTP.

This position is ideal for someone who:

1) is working a part time job
2) is currently seeking employment and would like to pick up some hours of work
3) is currently an independent consultant or contractor

We are not looking for a freelancer who is only available after regular business hours. We can be flexible, but you must be too. We are looking for someone who could work various times with consideration that some work may go into the evening and/or weekend. Remote support is also very likely.

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with business owners and/or managers. Effective communication is key. The ability to document is critical.

More information about the company can be found by visiting: www.indyitprofessionals.com

For consideration, please submit your resume in a word or pdf format to info@indyitprofessionals.com

Howdy!

After 25 years in IBM marketing and communications, I retired and partnered with my wife Cynthia in starting Starks Communications LLC. She writes executive speeches and I write Web content and advise clients on interactive marketing. There's more information about our background here on Smaller Indiana and on LinkedIn.

We live in Zionsville and are finding a pretty good market for our writing services. We're becoming more interested in helping small to mid-size businesses, universities, libraries, nonprofits and individuals understand and use social media to grow and solve problems.

Feel free to offer advice to this recent immigrant from Planet IBM. Thanks.

Hello,

I am new to this group.

I provide secretarial services to small business owners who are not in a position to hire staff right away.

I am hoping to gain some insight on the needs of small business owners. What can I do to help you run your businesses more efficiently?

I look forward to any ideas or suggestions you might have.

Hello, I am new to Smaller Indiana and am excited to find this group. I have operated my own website design/development company for nearly 9 years now, located in Peru.

My clients are primarily small business owners throughout much of Indiana, although word of mouth has been great for my business and I have clients scattered throughout the country.

I am looking forward to networking with other freelancers/small business owners and learning from others. I hope to meet freelancers in our area as well. You can learn more about my company at: www.proassetsonline.com or a blog that I created that caters to entrepreneurs in Miami County at: www.mainstreetandbroadway.com.

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
