Hello. I'm a 10-year PR pro who's coming back to Indy after a two-year hiatus from both the city and the PR industry. I'd love to drum up some freelance work to grease the treads of getting back into the Central Indiana market. My skill set is public relations, copywriting, media relations, a little graphic design and more.

This is my first foray into the freelance world, so any advice/job leads would be greatly appreciated.

Betcha haven't heard that one before. :-)

Hello freelancers! As a recently new full-time freelancer, I've decided to start a local freelance/self-employed meetup group. I hope to have face-to-face meetings every month. They'll be casual meetings to get to know one another, share resources and stories, and network.

For more info and to join (free), visit: www.indylance.com

Hope to see you at our next meetup!

Fellow Freelancers, I just put up a blog on my SI page offering ad space. I initially tried to send messages to individuals who I thought might be interested because I don't want to appear to be spamming. Yet, in being exclusionary, I don't know if I'm leaving people out who might have wanted to be "in". Consequently, I've decided on just putting it out there.

Hello all, another freelancing graphic designer, working with all things print related. I have been freelancing for twenty years now and would hate the thought of every having to go back to work for someone else! I love to work on the things many designers don't, long docs, catalogs and books, but love to mix it up with lots of diverse projects.

Howdy!

I recently graduated Herron in May this year, and I'm seeing how the climate of the economy is doing interesting things right now. In that capacity I have shifted to being available to do post-graduate intern work, freelance, or part time work with established companies or staffing agencies.

If you know of any possible opportunities for a print / minor web designer, then post up on my wall or contact me via email.

Thanks, and hope to hear from you!

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.
