Here is my Exciting news!!! I am hosting my first "It's a Girl Thing" event and I wanted to make sure each of you were aware of the "It's a Girl Thing" Christmas Shopping Event tomorrow evening 11/10. It is from 6:00 to 9:00 in the Village of West Clay Meeting House. We will have over 20 vendors there so you can get a great jump start to your holiday shopping. Sunshine Bakery will be there selling yummy (but not fat free;) baked goods and taking orders for Christmas cookies! All of the 20 vendors have made product donations with a minimum $50.00 value to our raffle. There is no admission fee to attend and raffle tickets will be sold for $2.00 each or 5 for $8.00, proceeds to benefit the National Alliance to End Homelessness. It is going to be a great evening and I would love to see your smiling faces there. I will be speaking at 8:00 and giving fabulous Holiday decorating tips. Make sure you come no later than 8:00 as we will be drawing for our raffle prizes right after my presentation!

I am excited to report that "Photography by Kendal" will have her (as in my) first fine art photography showing at the Mass Avenue Wine Shoppe in Indianapolis throughout the month of Oct. Special thanks to Jill, Erik, and Wug for making it happen! I so hope Indianapolis likes my work and perhaps a gallery owner will check it out and want to represent me?

One other exciting thing! I've been nominated for my second award this year! I seriously can not believe it... This one is NOWIB's Woman to Watch award. I never thought I'd be nominated for anything, so this is seriously an extreme honor. If any of you can come to the event, I would be very, very appreciative. :)

On Friday, October 16, 2009, the fourth annual Halloween Howl fundraiser will take place at the Conrad Indianapolis hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana from 7:00 p.m. until midnight. Riley Children's FoundationRiley Children’s Foundation is committed to improving the health and well-being of Indiana’s children through philanthropic leadership in support of Riley Hospital for Children and its research programs, Camp Riley for Youth with Physical Disabilities and the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home.
