My St. Patrick's Day bagpiping schedule has some open times in it for the March 17th festivities. I'm hired that day by bars, pubs, restaurants, private parties, corporate events and wherever else the sounds of the bagpipes are wanted. Yes, it is still weeks away but I've already got some gigs scheduled and am accepting them on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Referrals always appreciated... but don't wait too long. :-)
Thanks!

The Indy Visitors Channel is sponsoring a monthly contest called Show Off Something Unique. The contest offers businesses a chance to promote something about themselves that might be of interest to hotel guests in the area.

The IVC will select up to five video segments each month that will be featured on the show.

The Indy Visitors Channel is programmed specifically for visitors and seen on hotel room televisions downtown and around the region.

The channel is watched by more than 100,000 visitors a month who are looking for something interesting to do while they are here, according to IVC officials.

The video should be no longer than two minutes. Those interested in having their video shown on IVC should post the finished video on YouTube or another video sharing site, and e-mail a link to ShowOff@IndyVisitorsChannel.com.

I wanted to make sure each of you were aware of the "It's a Girl Thing" Christmas Shopping Event tomorrow evening 11/10. It is from 6:00 to 9:00 in the Village of West Clay Meeting House. We will have over 20 vendors there so you can get a great jump start to your holiday shopping. Sunshine Bakery will be there selling yummy (but not fat free;) baked goods and taking orders for Christmas cookies! All of the 20 vendors have made product donations with a minimum $50.00 value to our raffle. There is no admission fee to attend and raffle tickets will be sold for $2.00 each or 5 for $8.00, proceeds to benefit the National Alliance to End Homelessness. It is going to be a great evening and I would love to see your smiling faces there. I will be speaking at 8:00 and giving fabulous Holiday decorating tips. Make sure you come no later than 8:00 as we will be drawing for our raffle prizes right after my presentation!

Event planners, please consider my services.
Having recently retired after 33 years of teaching art full-time, I have formed a small business to continue doing full-time what I have been doing part-time for years. Artwork, bagpiping and caricatures.
Below are the services I provide.
* For weddings and receptions I do (and have done) calligraphy, bagpiping and am available for caricatures.
* For corporate, private and collegiate events and parties I do (and have done) bagpiping and caricatures.
* For memorials, wakes and funerals I do (and have done) bagpiping.
I hope to be of service to you and your clients and am currently taking appointments.
Thank you very much.

For all you event planners, have you heard of Cannonball? Just reviewed this information in Slaughter Development's newsletter and thought I would pass it onto you.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.
