Making people and ideas findable

I posted this a few weeks ago on my blog at our cyber location & thought it worth repeating here! Dreams remain just that unless we put some mental-emotional 'shoulder' to them. We do that by taking concrete steps to bring them to reality. Even if it's just writing what it is we want to do - accomplish. Brian Tracy says we have greater potential for realizing goals (dreams) when we write them down & 'publish' them somewhere. Even if "somewhere" is on the 'fridge' door!

Hopefully the following is motivational 'gas' to get us going now on making our dreams, visions & passions come to pass!

Familiar words heard in Indiana in the month of May. At the "greatest spectacle in racing!"

But I'm using it here to motivate us to take the first step toward the SUCCESS we all want to achieve in '09. In fact in any year on the calendar!

On another site, I've been posting about "dreams" and how we often have dreams we never realize we had. "Dreams" that lie deep within us - dormant until the timing is right and they can come rushing into the light. The challenge is to know what to do with them!

What we do with anything in life worth pursuing is to "start". But more often than not - the "start" of the process is the toughest part. How, what, where, who, when. . . all questions we ask as we mull the dream that now lies exposed!

Most of us here have found a dream that we feel passionate about. With a passion that won't be quiet. One that demands our attention. We've even begun the journey to fulfill the dream and are headed in the right direction with all the gusto one woman can muster.

Then comes a time in our pursuit that I call the "lull". You know - the calm before the storm so to speak. We've come a long way; we have minor & major successes but something's just not right - yet! These are the times that truly try our souls - our energies. And the times when doubt is bound to knock at our mental door.

"Start" is the antedote to the "lull". Doing something - no matter how small - will keep us focused, motivated, energized and eager to proceed.

"Start" is not always an action. Most often we find ourselves in a lull or a 'plateau' in order to reflect. Reflect on where we've been and where we are now. And a time to assess the next "start" in the process.

As we come to the end of the first month of the new year, my encouragement is to make "start" the first thing you do in the morning upon awakening and the last thing you do at night before bed!

And start with the end in sight. Envision yourself on that automated walkway I spoke of a week or so ago. Moving in the direction of your ultimate goal and the SUCCESS you've designed. Hear that recorded voice that says "You are nearing the end of the walkway, prepare to exit!"

Know that when you "exit" it will be to the culmination of all you've dreamed of, hoped for and designed to be.

But first you must "start" the journey with the first step onto the path that will get you there!

So "ladies, START your engines!" The prize is worth the effort.

Much love in your day,

Linda, a fellow journeyer

I like your comments and hope to network with you. I have finally allowed myself to think in terms of dreams.
I have always been positive goal setting and entrepreneural type but seemed to get bogged down in the details.
This year I am going to rev up my engines and go for it !
Hope to see you at Majors tonight
Jeanie
