Making people and ideas findable

I'm not sure what is wanted of me here, but I think I'll say a little about "dreams" and "visions".

I'm a recovering therapist (!), but when I plied my trade, I used to do mini-seminars with female clients who had a less than positive growing up environment. They had never been encouraged to "peek outside the box". Basically they had "dreams they never knew they had!"

I would start by asking a series of questions that coached them out of their narrow self-perspective and then the fun began! Once they realized that they could "dream" anything they wanted. . . their energy rose and they became totally engaged in dreaming the most outlandish 'stuff' you can imagine. It really was great fun!

What I've come to realize as a 'chronologically maturing woman well into the 2nd half of the journey', is that regardless of how the environment of our growing up years. . .we tend to limit our self-perspective until someone invites us to do otherwise. Putting down ALL the things one 'dreams' of is freeing and gets one in touch with their authentic inner 'woman'. Realistically we know that we probably can't or won't do them all, but just the thought of writing them down (or giving voice to them while someone else writes them down) is an awesome experience.

Being part of that process with women who'd never ventured out of the box someone else designed for them is one of the greatest thrills of my life!

And it's the 1st step in making any dream come true!

Are you discovering any dreams you never knew you had?

Much love,
Linda

Excellent thoughts, Linda! I think this journey of "self-discovery" happens to many of us as we grow and mature.
In my life, I can definitely say I've had dreams that have been with me since childhood, dreams that have evolved with me, and dreams that I never knew existed. It's amazing to watch as our dreams unfold; some are carefully planned while others seem to occur more effortlessly.
