I am working on growing the community of Christians in business in Allen County Indiana. Who has good contacts in the Fort Wayne area that I can talk with about bringing our networking events to their area?

OK, it is time to start a major project that God has had on my heart for awhile now. I am looking for some talented people interested in starting a Non-profit orgainization from the ground up. The goals of this organization will be lofty, but achievable with Gods direction.

The plan is to develop a true online community that will grow in capabilities to be a true online community for all christ based denominations. There will be several phases to the development of the web based system.

Initial goals:
1) Online bible studies
2) Online church finder giving details about the church and ability to post sermons and services
3) Youth and Young Adult outreach. So many of the Teens and 20 somethings fall out of Church. This will provide them an online way to stay in a Church, fellowship, and grow.
4) Missions outreach
5) Many other areas to grow this into.

I believe God can grow this project well beyound this as well.

Who I am looking to involve right now, people with non-profit start up experience, Churches, 20 somethings for guidance on best ways to reach their generation, computer minded people to help plan. It is in the very early stages of planning and funding will need to be raised as well.

If you are interested in learning more, please contact me at bgard@performancedrivenllc.com.

I want to set-up a meeting mid to end of June to start kicking this off.

Thanks,

Brian

Karla,
I work with a great designer by the name of Amanda Wilsoon. She owns a firm called DzineTech and her rates are very reasonable. You can check out her web site at www.dzinetech.com

Hi all --

I'm looking to speak with someone about designing a logo for a new start-up company. It may well turn into a need for additional design work, but we're starting with needing that key identifying mark... Please let me know if you are -- or know some one to recommend who could - assist. Thank you!

Jerome, to be honest your hosting rates are CHEAP and I don't see why even if no one was interested in your mission, why a business wouldn't want to save money for hosting. My hosting services are pricier. :-)

Perhaps targeting local small business owners whom are always looking to save money would be beneficial. I didn't look into the perks of your hosting accounts, but if they comparable I would only have to assume that you could undercut your competition. However, don't feel free to contact my clients. LOL

How is your website traffic going?

Hi Ashley, these are great suggestions. One of the reasons I posted this question was to have it as a sort of survey. At this point its hard to say who my niche market would be I had thought perhaps it would be the non-profit community as a whole, one it would get my name in the public view the other it would help them out too. It's been a struggle, perhaps due to the economy but I think your suggestions are great. Thanks!

Jerome, I am not any kind of expert on this so anyone more knowledgeable please pipe in. But I would say you have to find your niche. Who is your target market. For me it is small business owners.

Who does your product or service cater too, or who does it appeal to?

I think it aids tremendously once you find out who your market and how you are able to find your niche, then the sales will happen.

When I first started in business, I marketed to everyone/anyone. Big mistake. After a 1 or 2 I discovered that I like and also received the most response from the small business community.

Have you taken any surveys or talked one on one with others that you have marketed directly to to see what their response to your project is/was?

Again, not an expert here, as I am not a salesperson myself. (go figure)

Hi Everyone! I wanted to post a quick note to the group on this sunny Tuesday!

Just a quick reminder for the upcoming Heart Link Network women's networking gathering - I would love to have other Christian business women join us! The full info post is just a couple comments down...

I'd also LOVE any thoughts/feedback anyone could share on what day of the week you find to be the best for you for a networking event like this ... I want to set upcoming dates that are best for as many folks as I can!

Thanks for your help and comments!

OK, here’s a question; you have a great new idea, everyone loves it but no one is buying it. What’s the problem? Is it your message, is it your website? What are some of your tips on effectively selling your brand that ends in a sale? Share your thoughts… - Jerome http://nohome.org Humanitarian Web Hosting

Hi Everyone! I have a unique marketing event coming up for women - would love to have other Christian business women there...

Network the Women’s Way!

Reserve your industry-exclusive spot for a unique women’s networking event that will change your business by connecting hearts!

You Are Invited...

To an amazing networking event created specifically by and for women! The Heart Link Network™ is the perfect setting for everyone to do more than hand out a business card...you'll find yourself conversing, connecting, and really networking with a group of like-minded women.

Attendees are invited to come with your business cards, brochures, flyers, or any samples that will showcase your business. After an informal networking meal, we will come together as a group and each guest will have three minutes to share the highlights of her offerings. Remember that women network differently than men...we are not together to grab business cards and go home...we want to connect, learn, share and grow...and ultimately help each other get the business we deserve! Referrals come naturally for us, so we always pass on what we learn to others we know who need what YOU have!

The Heart Link Network™ is a non-membership group, meaning you can come when it works for you. This also means that each month there will be an interesting mix of people who have attended before and those who have not. The cost of each Heart Link event is just $20 (which includes your meal and materials). Be one of those people who "come linked" (with a new-to-the-network friend) and it's only $30 for the two of you! Each event is limited to 25 industry-exclusive participants (we want you to shine for your industry when you’re able to attend) so we can truly connect and get to know one another.

If you are a new resident, teacher, mom, business owner, job-seeker, entrepreneur, professional business woman, college student, etc., you could benefit in many ways from attending the Heart Link Network™ event. Our goal is to help you make connections in the Greater Fishers/Indianapolis area.

Please email or call me if you have any questions at all – you can also visit The Heart Link Network™ site for more information on the event and the Network – and can even register online. Reserve your spot early – you don’t want to miss this event!
