There's always been lots of talk about great burgers. Let's get down and serious about it now. No restrictions, but lots of criteria. We need descriptions of WHY it's a great burger.

Review-Barringer's Burger

Now for the review: I told the waitress I wanted to hear about their cheeseburger. She started out by saying it's 10 oz of fresh ground beef, not frozen. Good start. So I ordered it with lettuce, tomato [extra charge], bacon [extra charge] with mayo on the side. Next did I want pepper jack, Swiss or American. Pepper jack, of course. I asked for sauteed onions, she said sure. Then she cautioned me that they take about 15 minutes and asked me how I'd like it cooked- medium and juicy of course.. The friendly folks from the group made the time fly. The burger arrived presented as Nicki's photo shows. It was terrific. Juicy, sloppy, tasty-just what I'd want in a burger. The cheese was melted just enough that, along with the onions, The bun was not noticeable, and that's a good thing. The bun should either be benign or really attract your attention in a positive way. [Which has only happened once as I can recall]
If you are really needing a burger fix, Barringer's would make an excellent choice. Definitely a 9+ rating.

Sausage, chicken, but not burgers that I remember. Great nachos with huge portions.

I thought I had a burger at the Olde Point when I went there a year or two ago. That's strange.

What a show last night. We could have all used a burger, but went to the Olde Point Tavern. They don't do burgers, but great salads, sandwiches, and soups.

Rob Carmack is a friend of my daughter. I haven't known him, but I've known of him. All that changed at this month's HITW. Rob was there with his wife, Chea, and we started a new friendship. My daughter is still in amazement.
Thanks for the tip though. I have some pretty high level help in getting it set up.

I used to eat at the Divide with my late friend Pat Prosser. It was wonderful then and I'm sure it still is.
