Wow Kendal, that really is inspiring! Thanks so much for sharing that! You just never know where a blessing will appear.

Congratulations Shannon on all the awesome things that are happening in your life! And...you're celebrating with ice cream, so I'm there with ya! (Chocolate sundae with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry please! :) )

My husband and I watched Jeopardy on television last night. One of the contestants was a blind man whose face showed some disfigurement. When asked about what a day was like for him he explained that he knew that some people really didn't know how to respond to him, but there wasn't anything that would hold him back from doing what he wanted to do.

My husband and I were both touched by his response and by his strength. He won the game again--for the second evening in a row.

Sometimes it takes a person like this contestant for us to realize how many blessings that we all have, and that perhaps we some times take them for granted.

Okay, actually I have to add another one (because i'm so excited!). Here's what I wrote in the SI I Love You Cards forum.

(And if you don't know about iloveyoucards.org, you'll want to check out this website.)

Exciting ILY news alert!

As a result of a collision, I now have a new car in my garage and the blank space on my bumper is startling. So, loving my i love you (ILY) cards the way I do, I emailed the cards' creator and asked if she could help make my car a lovemobile by creating some ILY bumper stickers through cafepress.com.

Response from Heidi: "Yes! I'd love to help make your car a love mobile! ... When I get them in I can mail you [one] and together we can be pioneers for i love you bumper stickers!"

So now (a) my car gets to be a lovemobile, (b) we get to spread the love, and (c) so does everyone else.

We all win! Yahoo! :)

I just finished, about 90 minutes ago, co-hosting an Internet radio program. What makes this a miracle? Because I told my business coach months ago that I love doing animal communication over the radio and I wanted to be a co-host. And, ta-da, after several months of guesting I got to be an official co-host (beginning tonight and running as long as I'd like to be co-hostess with the mostess).

Miracles do happen. I feel so blessed. :)

Now it's time for ice cream! :-D

How is the miraculous touching your life?

Great quote! If we stop running from it and everything else (going so fast in life) happiness just may find us! I'm going to let it find me! What about the rest of you?

I've recently discovered that Twitter is a wonderful source of inspirational quotes. For example, here's one that was posted this evening.

“Ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you.” Hafiz

Hey happiness - I'm over here! :)

I don't know about you guys, but I become thoroughly (and enjoyably) hypnotized by the animal videos on YouTube. Here's one of my recent favorites: an African hedgehog swimming in the tub. He's having fun flipping onto his back and floating. It looks like he's hanging out in a coconut shell.

Enjoy Shming swimming!

Wow, Shannon, that's totally awesome! Rehab on both sides! Thanks for sharing!

Well, I just posted this to the Indy Humane Society group, but it's such good news I can't keep it inside! Hooray for the Anderson shelter thinking outside the litterbox! :)

Imprisoned Felons Help Care for Unwanted Cats (Video)

Indiana prisoners are serving as foster parents to 59 cats and kittens waiting for adoption and hoping for a second chance, after the local shelter had no more room.

One inmate, convicted of involuntary manslaughter, said caring for the animals in 8-hour shifts makes him feel better about himself.

Watch the video here.

Oh joy! I don't think anything feels better than finally buying Kleenex and toilet paper when you have been out of both and have a cold. Glad I at least had paper towel, but OUCH! What would we do without Target? My Kleenex are even in a pretty box. I am happy!
