Making people and ideas findable

Greetings, all!
As a l-o-n-n-g-g-time Mac user (see http://www.win-2-mac.webs.com/ ) I've helped a lot of folks make the most of the unsurpassed potential of Macs in a variety of environments.

More recently, I decided to "leverage" my Mac savvy and corporate I.T. experience over the years to offer my experience and expertise to central-Indiana SMBs that are considering a switch to Macs (or even incorporating one or more Macs into an existing Windows environment).

It has occurred to me that there is a lot of aggregate Mac knowledge and experience here in the "core" of Mac experience here at SI. Thus, I am asking YOUR help to get some sort of consensus about a few questions in my mind. To wit:

1) Did you switch to a Mac from a longer history of Windows usage?

2) If so, what factor or factors weighed most heavily in influencing your migration to Mac?

3) What do you like least and most about using a Mac?

4) If you use Windows (or did in the past) what do (did) you like least and most?

5) Have you helped others (business, professional, or personal usage) make a transition to Macs?

6) If so, what did you find the greatest challenges for those nascent Mac users?

7) If you use Macs in a SMB environment, what (if any) challenges do you face?

8) Other thoughts about switching from Windows to Mac?

Please feel free to respond to any or all of the above questions. Thanks in advance for your help and input!!

Best regards,

Paul Benjamin http://www.win-2-mac.com

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.

Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
