Making people and ideas findable

Greater Indy Innovation Roundtable (GIIRT) is a new group on SI that meets monthly (see group page for details). What companies or individuals would you love to hear from in terms of telling their "innovation story"? It could be focused on an exciting new product or service, or it could be an individual with a fascinating track record of innovation. Who's story would cause you to adjust your schedule to come to a luncheon meeting to hear them speak?

Roger Penske. Hands down.

Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Marconi, Tesla, Einstein, Loomis, Stubblefield, Maxwell (the reason Einstein's theory of relativity took off!) and let's throw in Colonel Sanders. I really do want to know what the seven herbs and spices are. ;)

I'd also like to meet the people behind genetic sequencing. More to come...

I thought it was 11 herbs and spices....

I second the notion that Penske would be a great choice.

Definitely 11... Talked with Colonel Sanders booking agent - he's just buried.

Penske would be a great one. Who else? Anyone based in Indy?

Just curious why Penske?

He has beat his competition like no other. He runs an amazing organization. Several years ago, He became the winningest car owner in history at the Indy 500 with 5 wins. He has since doubled his original record to 10, and just this year tripled his record to 15 Indy 500 wins.

Nobody is even close to him and Indy. He wins under all conditions and with many different drivers.
