I would use gotprint.com

Price is right, I'll be giving them a go, thanks...

Vistaprint's prices seem pretty high compared to most companies I have used.

I 4th the Vista Print as mentioned above.
Pay for shipping (6.95)--first order is free - 250 cards.

I just got a set of cards Friday --and they were much much more than I expected.
Hey --what does one usually get in response to "FREE"?
They also have a ton of other crap that free also.

But you will be bombarded each day with an eMail touting their daily
specials -some really great things and some pure crape' .

haha thats when you make a new email and use it just to buy from them or use your junk email to buy stuff. ;)

If you do prefer to use local business, PIP printing does a great job. Jim Strauss the owner has helped us out of more than one occasion.

I can do them, they are printed locally and you will have them in a few days.
Let me know!

I have used http://www.overnightprints.com/ many times and have always been happy with the quality and price, plus the quick delivery.

If you use a local printer and are happy with the results, please pass on that info, as I, too, prefer to use local businesses when I can.

Definitely VistaPrint. Inexpensive and great service

Vistaprint is getting a lot of votes, but two others I have used are:

Print Runner ($23 for 500 single sided on 14pt Cardstock, and $33 double sided).
and
Club Flyers

that adds a little variety for you, and the price is dirt cheap - like you said, money talks!

I prefer to keep the money local too, but Vistaprint has the best deals. I agree with Tom that you should use the premium cards though. also, use the advanced editing options to change fonts, colors, size of text, location of text, add text, add images, pretty much anything.

Everyone here mentions a website or a large chain. (Vista Print is based in the Virgin Islands, and FedEx is HQ in Memphis; let's keep our commerce here in Indiana!) If you want to work with a person who cares that you are happy with your cards, I suggest you contact AMS Business Forms. They have been doing business for over 20 years in the Broad Ripple and surrounding areas. Jeff Davis is the owner and he offers top-notch, personal service. Check his website at

I would love to use local printers, I am sure we all would, but here is an example of what I have run into:

I needed to get 8 sets of 500 4/4 cards. I had several local printers give me quotes, but the prices were all ridiculously high. One of these printers even told me it is better to order off of the internet because they just cannot compete with the price. We use local companies whenever we can... But when we have to spend hundreds of dollars more, we just cannot justify spending the extra money.

I get that this is a site about business opportunities here in Indiana - but this is a case where local prices from my own past experience are just way too high. Like I said though, I am curious to see what the prices are currently, if anyone else has recent quotes from local vendors it would be nice to see them. How much would you expect to pay for a set of 500 or 1,000 cards, 4/4 on 12/14pt. stock, UV coated? (a common order from the online sites)
