Making people and ideas findable

In the ever progressive world of saving the climate, the EPA has decided to come up with any scheme that may actually pass if some have their ways. Under federal Clean Air Act provisions belching and gaseous cows and hogs could start costing them money if a federal proposal to charge fees for air-polluting animals becomes law.

Will this pass? Probably not, but never say never. With the climate of the "climate changers", any taxation on industry is the goal. Someone had to sit around and think of this plan in order for many in the industry to raise enough "stink" to contact their local Congressman(women). Of course those whose propose this plan have never ran a business and nor had to budget money to run a company.

Here are some more highlights of the article:
-It would require farms or ranches with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs to pay an annual fee of about $175 for each dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 for each hog.

-EPA spokesman Nick Butterfield said the fee was proposed for farms with livestock operations that emit more than 100 tons of carbon emissions in a year and fall under federal Clean Air Act provisions.

-The fee would cover the cost of a permit for the livestock operations. While farmers say it would drive them out of business, an organization supporting the proposal hopes it forces the farms and ranches to switch to healthier crops.

Of course PETA is contacted and their wisdom of words are dually noted in this following comment: "It makes perfect sense if you are looking for ways to cut down on meat consumption and recoup environmental losses," said Bruce Friedrich

I have some special help with this discussion add since my bride is going into the farm animal vet tech field here very soon. I asked her what her thoughts were and this is her comments: "Why not just tax humans who use artificial sugar (sacchrin). This product causes the gut to swell with air and the human has to either belch or fart."

I think we should tax PETA for every stupid campaign they wage and publicity stunt they pull. We'd be out of this economic mess in 2 weeks.

Erik - I'm cracking up! This is the funniest thing but with politicians behind it (no pun intended), I'm not surprised!!!
