Making people and ideas findable

Does anyone attend a hot yoga class that is truly really hot anywhere in the downtown or Broad Ripple areas? The 10:00 am Sunday class at Cityoga is the best I have found for truly cranking up the heat, but am seeking other options. The hotter, the better! When I say truly hot, I mean when you walk in the room, it feels warm enough to immediately wear a bikini in.

let me know if you find one where people wear bikinis in the class itself- I've been looking for a reason to try on this cute little plunge-neck number I got for my birthday.

city yoga is right by IUPUI right? All joking aside I took Yoga sessions there on Saturday afternoons in March and April and frankly, maybe because I'm a guy and have no Yoga form, I just not feel comfortable putting myself "out there" in a room full of 10 other women. I was amazed at the workout and felt soooooo relaxed afterward.

What is hot yoga?

Annie comes up with the BEST discussions: Boobies in the workplace, "hot" yoga, whew, I need a cold shower.

On a serious tip, I used to be a hardcore gym rat: weights, plyometrics, boxing, etc., but, have become sedentary in recent years. I would love to get into a good Pilates program; one that uses actual Reformers, but, they are expensive and I am poor. lol

Oh, and Annie, when you find your "hot" yoga class, please invite all of the single women in said class to join SI. Thank you.

Depends on what you're looking for...if you're looking for a Bikram class, right now there are no "official" Bikram studios that I'm aware of in Indianapolis. The Yoga Center offers hot vinyasa classes, though there is very little instruction. You'll get a good workout, though I have a hard time hearing the teachers over the music. If you are looking for heated classes which provide a physical challenge, but still provide instruction on alignment and the internal aspects of the practice, check out Invoke Yoga & Pilates. Not all classes are heated, but many of the evening classes are.
